SÃO PAULO, SP (REVISTA SIMPLES) – “Hell’s Kitchen”, um musical inspirado na adolescência de Alicia Keys em Nova York, e “Stereophonic”, a história de um grupo de rock em vias de se separar, dominam as indicações ao Tony Awards de 2024, a principal premiação das artes cênicas americanas, incluindo teatro e musical.
Os dois espetáculos, um sobre uma celebridade pop antes de descobrir o seu talento e outro examinando um lado mais sombrio da indústria musical, obtiveram juntos 13 indicações. Os nomeados foram divulgados nesta terça-feira.
Em seguida, com 12 indicações, está “The Outsiders”, uma adaptação musical do romance de S.E. Hinton e do filme de Francis Ford Coppola de mesmo nome -traduzido no Brasil como “Vidas Sem Rumo.
Várias estrelas de Hollywood estão entre os indicados. Daniel Radcliffe recebeu sua primeira nomeação, por ator coadjuvante em “Merrily We Roll Along”, enquanto Eddie Redmayne, que já ganhou um Oscar e um Tony, foi indicado por sua atuação em “Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club”, musical que tem nove indicações.
A entrega dos prêmios será dia 16 de junho, em Nova York.
